Claudia Costin

Claudia Costin is a Visiting Professor of Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is on leave from her professorship at the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro on Public Policy, and is currently Senior Director for Education at the World Bank Group. From 2009 to 2014, she served as Secretary of Education for the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Ms. Costin has held academic positions at the Catholic University of São Paulo, INSPER Institute of Education and Research, and École Nationale d’Administration Publique in Québec. She holds a master’s degree in Economics and Management and an undergraduate degree in Public Administration from the Escola de Administracao de Empresas de São Paulo of the Fundacao Getúlio Vargas.
