Xueqin Jiang

Xueqin Jiang is a Beijing-based educator and writer.  He advises Chinese schools on how to teach creativity, and he writes for a variety of Chinese and global media.He has spoken at the Global Education & Skills Forum (GESF) in Dubai, the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Doha, the Learners’ Innovation Forum for Education (LIFE) in Beijing, and Educacao 360 in Rio de Janeiro.  He sits on the selection committee of the Global Teacher Prize, the Pre-Jury for the WISE Awards, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).

Over his career, he has worked as a journalist, a documentary filmmaker, and United Nations official.  From 2008 until 2012, he built and managed study abroad programs at two of China’s most prestigious public schools – Shenzhen Middle School and Peking University High School - to teach Chinese students creativity, critical thinking, and global citizenship.  In April 2014, Mr. Jiang published Creative China, which discusses his education reform efforts.  Mr. Jiang graduated with distinction in English literature from Yale College in 1999.
