In today’s complex, 21st Century world, it is essential for students to be engaged and ethical learners, thinkers, and citizens. Mind, brain and developmental research has found that students who feel valued and empowered are more likely to be actively engaged in school and their community, perform better academically, have more positive social-ethical behaviors and are more likely to be active citizens.

Public Panel: Teaching & Learning in the 21st Century

The Global Education Innovation Initiative at HGSE is pleased to invite you to join us for panel discussions about teaching and learning in the 21st century.


Speakers will talk about what their organizations do to advance 21st century learning in their countries, including why they do what they do (need and motivation) and how they do it (theory of change).  They also will share stories about some of their successes and challenges.
There will be time for Q&A.

Book Launch: Empowering Global Citizens

Please join Dr. Fernando Reimers and Dr. Connie K. Chung, from GEII, along with their co-authors Vidur Chopra, Dr. Julia Higdon, and Nell O’Donnell for the launch of the K-12 curriculum resource, Empowering Global Citizens, at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The launch will also be video-streamed so that those who cannot come in person to the event can participate online. The authors will highlight the central themes in this book, and address your questions.
